Martha Hurt

Martha Jo Hurt 72 of Glasgow died Sunday, December 13, 2015 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born in Barren County the daughter of the late Ernest Clifford Hurt and Lavinia Clark Hurt. She was also preceded in death by a brother Wendell Mitchell Hurt. Miss Hurt was a corporate accountant for R. R. Donnelley & Sons in Glasgow and attended the Immanuel Baptist Church. She was a founding member of the Kay Bledsoe B&PW Club in Glasgow and was a volunteer with the T. J. Samson Hospice program. She is survived by several cousins including Sue Ellen Goad of Colorado Springs, CO whom she considered a daughter, and Wanda 'Butch' Humphrey of Glasgow. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, December 17th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4pm until 8pm and Thursday until time for the service. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to T. J. Samson Hospice.
