Mary Cornelius

Mary Gladys Cornelius 89 of Glasgow, died Wednesday Sept. 9, 2009 at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. She was born November 22, 1919 in Grayson County, the daughter of the late George W. Williams and Viola Walters Williams. Mrs. Cornelius was an Avon representative for over thirty five years and a member of the South Green St. Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Meek (Robert) of Louisville and Beverly Brooks of Glasgow; 3 grandchildren Amber Leeson (Bruce) of Glasgow and Archie and Scott Meek of Knoxville, TN; 3 great grandchildren Samuel and Kinsey Leeson and Briana Meek; and one brother Herman Williams of Grayson County. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Marvin Jackson and J.W. 'Bill' Cornelius and a son-in-law Roger C. Brooks. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday September 12, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 3pm till 8pm and Saturday morning until time for services.
