Melinda Wood

Melinda Wood, 38 of Glasgow died Monday December 12, 2016 at her home. She was born in Glasgow the daughter of Cleatus Phillips and Cheryl Cote who survive. She was a homemaker and member of the Temple Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband Shamus Wood of Glasgow; 2 daughters Aspen and Madison Wood of Glasgow; parents Cheryl Cote (Paul) of Edmonton and Cleatus Phillips (Beckie) of Glasgow; Father & Mother in law Earl and Linda Wood of Glasgow; 1 sister Sherry Jones (Donald) of Glasgow; 2 brothers Cleatus Wayne Phillips (Jennifer) and Bryan Phillips (Kristen) both of GA; 2 step sisters Stacy Dillard of Glasgow and Sabrina Keener (Matt) of Lebanon, TN; 6 nieces Megan Jones and Joyce Abston of Glasgow and Molly, Maggie, Anne Marie and Hollis Ann Phillips all of GA; several aunts, uncles & cousins; best friend Jenny Vance-Birge of Glasgow. She was preceded in death by a sister in law Lisa Wood Elmore. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday December 15, 2016 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Caney Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00am Wednesday at the funeral home. Family request that in lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made towards funeral expenses.
