Ralph R. Garmon 88 of Glasgow, KY died Thursdsay November 3, 2005 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born in Cumberland County the son of the late Linder and Lucy Carter Garmon. Mr. Garmon was a former school teacher and farmer in Cumberland County and was a member of the Marrowbone Baptist Church. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and received the Purple Heart Medal. He is survived by two sisters Lillian Garmon of Glasgow and Blanche Powell of Conway, KY; six nieces Margaret Bowles (Johnny) of Cave City, Janet Slayton of Harrodsburg, KY, Linda Williams of Conway, KY, Brenda Powell of Conway, KY, Rebecca Brandonburg of Berea, KY, and Nena Powell of Conway, KY; two nephews John (Ann) Smith of Horse Cave and Randy Powell of Conway, KY. Several great nieces and nephews also survive. A sister Vernell Smith preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday November 5th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home and burial with military honors provided by 'D.A.V. Chapter 20 of Glasgow' in the Marrowbone Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
