Wirt Palmore

Wirt Comer Palmore, Jr. 71 of Glasgow passed away Wednesday January 2, 2008 at his home. He was born in Barren County the son of the late W. C. Palmore Jr. and Kathryn Lewis Palmore. Mr. Palmore was an employee for 28 years with R. R. Donnelley & Sons in Glasgow and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He was also active and enjoyed working with Habitat for Humanity. He was a beloved husband and father to his surviving wife Marjorie and his daughter Kim Eastep and husband John of Glasgow. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren Jonathan and Rachel Wyatt and Daniel, Abby and Kari Eastep all of Glasgow; a brother Ralph Lewis Palmore of Frankfort, KY; a sister Alice Lane and husband Kenneth of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother James Potter Palmore. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday January 4, 2007 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00pm Thursday.
