Aaron Smith

Aaron Earl Smith 82 of Glasgow died Friday, November 9, 2007 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born Cumberland Co. he was the son of the late Clarence Smith and Evie Belle Syra Smith. Mr. Smith was a member of the South Green Street Church of Christ and was retired from the U. S. Army and served in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He was a member of the DAV Chapter #20 of Glasgow and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5906 in Glasgow and the American Legion. Survivors include his wife Clarine Miller Smith of Glasgow; a daughter Carol Hill (Darrell) of Glasgow; 5 grandchildren Candace Hill, Nakita Houchens both of Glasgow and Danny Smith, Aaron Smith and Carmen McVane all of Wisconsin; 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son Danny Smith, 2 brothers Floyd and Gilbert Smith and 3 sisters Adda Ewing, Edna Smith and Carrie Smith. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery with Military Honors provided by DAV Chapter #20 of Glasgow. Visitation will be after 11:00am Monday at the funeral home.
