Agnes Walker

Agnes Merlene Botts Walker 96 of Glasgow died Friday, July 05, 2013 at N.H.C. Healthcare in Glasgow. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Annie Mae Cox Botts and the wife of the late Johnie E. Walker. Mrs. Walker was a member of the New Salem United Methodist Church and she was named the Barren County Democratic Woman of the year in 1983. She is survived by 1 son Botts Walker and wife Gaye of Glasgow; 1 daughter Carolyn Strader and husband Woody of Hiseville; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; 1 sister Earline Turner and husband Clay; 1 brother Roger Botts; 1 sister-in-law Louise Botts all of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Bobby Walker and 3 brothers John, Norris and Lawrence Botts. Funeral services will be 11am Monday, July 8th, 2013 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4pm Sunday. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the New Salem Cemetery.
