Alan Morris McCoy 69 of Glasgow died Friday, January 15, 2010 in Glasgow. Born in Romulas, NY he was the son of the late William & Gertrude Marunda McCoy. Mr. McCoy was a Veteran of the U. S. Marines, a retired Dairy Farmer, a past member of the Holstein Friesian Assc. and served as a Director on the Board of the DHIA. Survivors include his wife Dawn Schmidt McCoy of Glasgow; two sons James A. McCoy (Kim) and Luke A. McCoy (Amanda) both of Glasgow; two daughters Michele Swartley (Rodney) of Geneva, NY and Melissa Florom of Glasgow; four grandchildren Brandy Florom, Rachel, Kate and Jordan McCoy; two brothers Paul McCoy (Pat) of Edmonton and John McCoy (Carol) of Ithaca, NY; two sisters Nancy Chase (Karl) of Edmonton and Mary Snyder (Cy) of Chittenango, NY; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery with military honors provided by DAV Chapter #20. Visitation will be after 10:00am Tuesday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
