Albert Spot Redford 100 of Glasgow died Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow. He was born in Glasgow August 6, 1910 the son of S.E. and Alice Duvall Redford. Mr. Redford was preceded in death by his ten brothers and sisters and his wife Pat Breeding Redford. A U. S. Army veteran of WWII, he enlisted December 2, 1942 and was assigned to the 1st Army, 99th Infantry Division, 324th Engineers, Medical Attachment. He received the Purple Heart while participating in the Belgian Ardennes-Alsace Campaign during the Battle of the Bulge. Mr. Redford was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church and was a long time employee of Ely Drugs Store in Glasgow. Survivors include a son Jim Redford of Glasgow; a daughter Barbara Brown of Bowling Green; 4 grandchildren David Brown (Ann) of Louisville, Kathy Clay of Murfreesboro, TN, Brian Redford of Ft. Worth, TX and Sarah Flora (Tim) of San Diego, CA; and 5 great-grandchildren Rob and Hunter Brown, Matthew Clay, Emily and Kyle Flora. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday May 6, 2011 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Burial with military honors provided by D.A.V. Chapter 20 of Glasgow, will be in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
