Alma Chase

Alma Florence Chase 87 of Glasgow, KY died Thursday January 27, 2005 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born in Barren County the daughter of the late Hershell and Elizabeth Sheffield Gibbons and wife of the late Alvin Ray Chase. Mrs. Chase was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. She is survived by two sisters Effie Chase of Glasgow and Ruby D. Smith of Cave City; four brothers Walter Gibbons of Glasgow, Earl Gibbons of Glasgow, Douglas Gibbons and wife Linda of Glasgow and Waldo Gibbons and wife Blondell of Cave City; a sister in law Bessie Lee Gibbons of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews and her caregiver Ruth Taylor. She was preceded in death by two brothers Louis and Arthur Gibbons and a sister Alice Bowles. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday Jan. 3, 2005 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 5:30pm Sunday.
