Alma Matthews

Alma Elizabeth Matthews 88 of Glasgow, Kentucky died Saturday May 21, 2005 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Miss Matthews was born in Barren County the daughter of the late Julian R. and Nellie Piercy Matthews. She was a former employee of the KY Pants Company and owned and operated the Golden Thimble Fabric Shop. Miss Matthews was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Bethel Homemakers, Glasgow Sr. Citizens and the Samsonites. She is survived by several cousins including John Winburn Davidson and wife Helen of Glasgow and Emogene Squires of Canada. A special friend, Laura Ellen Headrick of Glasgow also survives. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday May 24, 2005 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:00pm on Monday at the funeral home.
