Alma Ruth Allen

Alma Ruth Allen 83 of Glasgow died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Barren Co. she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Rose Eatmon Houchens and wife of the late James Allen. Mrs. Allen was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include 3 daughters Betty Netherton & husband Bacel of Glasgow, Sondra Valle & husband Santos of Glasgow and Wanda Crowe & husband Roy of Fountain Run; 3 sons Robert Cheatham & wife Sue of Crawfordsville, IN, Kenneth Turner & wife Jana of Melvin, IL and Charles Turner & wife Julie of Gibson City, IL; 2 sisters Myrtle Jones of Frankfort, KY and Janie Berryman of Glasgow; 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son Terry Turner, a grandson Doug Turner, a sister Frances Barr and a brother Ray Houchens. Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, July 25, 2014 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00pm Thursday at the funeral home.
