Almon Joe 'A.J.' Morgan 85 of Glasgow died Saturday, January 17, 2015 at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. A native of Barren County, he was the son of Sammy and Mary Ruth Harper Morgan. Mr. Morgan retired from the military after serving 23 years in the Army Air Corp, U. S. Air Force and the U. S. Army. He was a veteran of WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He received numerous medals and commendations for his service. Survivors include his wife of 63 years Wilma Broady Morgan; daughter Diana Glass (John) of Edmonton; sons Mike Morgan and Kenneth Morgan (Melissa) both of Tennessee and Mark Morgan (Lisa) of Glasgow; grandchildren, Matt Glass, Russ Glass, Josh Morgan, Adam Morgan, Mary Beth Morgan, Ben Morgan, Madeline Skaggs, Cade Morgan, Jack Morgan and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters Dorothy Holmes and Virginia Mercer of Glasgow, Jeanette Jeffries of Park City and Drucilla Cowles of Bowling Green. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Larry Joe Morgan and a brother Donald Wayne Morgan. A graveside with military honors provided by D.A.V. Chapter 20 of Glasgow will be 11am Wednesday, January 21st at the New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home Tuesday from 3pm until 8pm and Wednesday morning until 10:30. The family suggest alternate expressions of sympathy be made to the New Salem Methodist Church Cemetery fund.
