Anna Whitehead

Anna Ruth Whitehead, age 79 of Leitchfield, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at her residence. She was born July 24, 1934 in Taylorsville, KY the daughter of Earvan Gilbert Stump & Nova Catherine Reynolds-Stump. She is survived by her husband, John O. Whitehead of Leitchfield, two sons, John A. Whitehead (Penelope) of Horse Branch & Mark Whitehead (Theresa) of Leitchfield, one daughter, Vera Logsdon of Caneyville, one sister, Bettie 'Carolyn' Coulter (Lawrence 'Ray') of Chaplin, fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Ollie Ray Nation, one granddaughter, and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, (May 3, 2014) at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield with Bro. Tim Probus officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Butler County. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
