Annie Lavada Edwards

Annie Lavada Edwards, age 95, of Glasgow, KY, died Wednesday, April 10th at Barren County Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Haywood, KY on January 7th, 1924 to the late Robert and Mattie Houchens. Her husband was the late John T. Edwards. She was a housewife and a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church. She was an excellent seamstress and quilter. She loved working in her flowers, gardening and spending time with her family. She is survived by one son, Terry Lee Edwards (Donna), Glasgow; one daughter, Jo Ann Watson, Glasgow; one brother, Tony Houchens (Pauline), Louisville; three grandchildren, Colton Edwards, Christy Crawford (Jeff), Amy Hogue (Tim); three great grandchildren, Cody Crawford, Cameron Crawford, Brayden Hogue; two step grandchildren, Nathan Lutterman (Stephanie), Amy Wilkinson (Matthew); several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Dickerson, Doris Etherton, Helen Davidson; one brother, Willie Day Houchens. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, April 15th at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Visitation be 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday and Monday morning until time for services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Jefferies Cemetery.
