Quentin Billingsley 85 of Glasgow died Tuesday April 18, 2006 at the NHC Health Care Facility in Glasgow. He was born in Metcalfe County the son of the late Herman and Elsie Mae Huffman Billingsley. He was a former employee of the Carnation Co. and Dairymen Inc. and was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII serving much of his time in Brazil. Mr. Billingsley was a graduate of Temple Hill High School and graduated from Western KY University in 1949. He was a former Glasgow City Councilman, a member of the Glasgow Lions Club and attended the First United Methodist Church and the Beech Grove Baptist Church at Eighty Eight, KY. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Katherine Brown Billingsley; two daughters Mary Lynne Powell and husband Clinton of Glasgow and Tracy Anne Harder and husband Bob of Bowling Green; 7 grandchildren Michael Maggard of California, Marc Maggard of Florida, Megan (Danny) Elkins of Greensburg, Michele (Kevine) Coop of Glasgow, Chastity (Justin) Hayes of Glasgow and Travis and Amanda Harder of Bowling Green and 3 great grandchildren Hunter Marsh, Hayden Elkins and Caleb Hayes. Three sisters Naomi Taylor, Nell Wells and Norma Jean Tharp preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 1:00pm on Saturday April 22, 2006 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 3:00pm until 8:00pm and on Saturday until time for services.
