Ava Hayes

Ava Jean Hayes, 61, of Caneyville, passed away Tuesday, February 12th, 2013 at her residence. She was born on April 10th, 1951 in Grayson County, the daughter of the late Ivan and Bertha (Renfrow) Dennison. She is survived by her husband, Floyd Hayes of Caneyville; one daughter, Melinda Weedman (Allan) and one son, Sean Hayes (Marsha) both of Short Creek; 3 grandchildren, Terance Weedman, Haley & Caleb Hayes; 1 great grandchild, Ryder Weedman; 5 sisters, Alice Patterson of Short Creek, Carolyn Polston of Louisville, Diane Perry of Hartford, Wilda Decker of Short Creek and Clara Wilson of Morgantown; and 2 brothers, Tom Dennison of Hardinsburg and Phillip Dennison of Short Creek. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Ivan Earl Dennison. Cremation was chosen with a private service being held at a later date.
