Barbara Thomas

Barbara Ann Thomas, 70, of 5202 Hwy 56 died on Saturday, February 28, 2004 at Owensboro Medical Health Systems. She was born on December 20, 1933 in St. Joseph, Kentucky to Elmer and Anna Montgomery Alvey, was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, her grandchildren and her great grandchild. Surviving is her husband of 50 years, Robert E. 'Bob' Thomas; 2 sons and daughter-in-laws, Allen & Vickie Thomas of Owensboro and Wayne & Tricia Thomas of Sorgho; 3 daughters and son in law, Carolyn Thomas, Sharon & Gary McCarty, Jeannie Thomas all of Owensboro; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer & Dean Worthington, Scott & Heather McCarty, Keri, Krista and Allen Thomas, Brandon and Cassis Thomas; great granddaughter, Lauren Worthington. Also surviving are her brothers, Frank Alvey of Louisville, Eugene Alvey of Columbus Mississippi, JoeDamian Alvey, Mike Alvey and Tom Alvey all of Owensboro; 2 sisters, Mrs. Frank 'Mary Bernice' Thomas of St. Joseph, KY and Bertha Shelton of Owensboro.
