Barbara Wheeler

Barbara J. Wheeler 75 of Glasgow died Monday, January 21, 2013 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born April 30, 1937 in Glasgow. Barbara was a member and former Elder at Glasgow First Presbyterian Church. She had been employed at the Kentucky Pants Factory for many years and later Sumitomo Electrical Wiring in Edmonton where she retired. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Bryant Wheeler, a son Steve Wheeler, her mother Katie Maude Smith and 2 brothers James L. Smith and Charles 'Billy' Smith. She is survived by her five sons, Gary Wheeler (Tammy), Mark Wheeler (Wanda), Tim Wheeler (Susan), Matt Wheeler (Becky), and Bruce Wheeler (Christie) all of Glasgow; 13 grandchildren Justin Wheeler (Amanda), Aaron Wheeler (Sara), Wendy Wheeler, Stacy Wheeler Clark (Kent), Mandy Wheeler Morrison (Dustin), Jeremy Wheeler, Jessica Wheeler Robertson (Brian), Chris Riddle, Ruth Ford, Steven Wheeler, Cory Wheeler, Cole Wheeler and Cate Wheeler; 7 great-grandchildren Destiny, Gabriel, Laney, Mailey, Alexis, Landon and Parker; 2 sisters Martha Blakley (Arnold) and Maryline Woodie (Rocky) of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, January 25th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Caney Fork Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:00pm Thursday.
