Barbara Wood

Barbara Sherfey Wood 75 of Glasgow, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 26, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born in Barren County and was a self-employed cosmetologist. She was a member of the Dover Baptist Church at Etoile. Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Sherfey and a sister Wanda Faye Sherfey. She is survived by her mother, Marie Sherfey of Glasgow; 2 sons Tommy Wood (Debbie) of Horse Cave and Bruce Wood (Kathy) of Bowling Green; 7 grandchildren Billy Thomason (Courtney), Ben Wood, Brad Wood (Jennifer), Lisa Conover (Ryan), Brandon Wood (Lynsey), Blake Wood (Shea) and Cora Wood; 9 great-grandchildren Isaiah Reynolds, Abram Thomason, Ezra Wood, Ella Grace Wood, Parker Conover, Kaylee Wood, Kelby Brown, Kenzie Wood and Kristian Miller; 2 sisters Charlene Jackson (Ernie) of Glasgow and Peggy Jones (Earl) of Austin; 4 brothers Ricky Sherfey (Betty) of Temple Hill, Michael Sherfey (Peggy) of Glasgow, Harold Sherfey (Betty) of Temple Hill and Carlie Sherfey of Glasgow. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and four close friends, Janice Norris, Carolyn Bowles, Linda Steenbergen and Wanda Smith. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Thursday, April 28th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4pm Wednesday.
