Janice Matthews, age 82, of Glasgow, died Saturday, August 21, 2021, at NHC Healthcare. She was born in Clinton County on June 26, 1939, to the late James (Sam) Hancock and the late Edith (Owens) Hancock. She was a seamstress at Handmacher and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include, one daughter, Marla Bryant (Ricky); one sister, Virginia Denton (James); four grandchildren, Terra Vincent (Lonnie), Ethan Bryant (Samantha), Deanie Barrow (Jeff), and Matthew Ballinger; seven great grandchildren, Trapper Vincent, Branch Vincent, Quincey Bryant, Rylan Barrow, Landon Barrow, Aden Ballinger, and Ashton Ballinger; the "Coffee Girls" at the Liberty St. Apts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Matthews; one daughter, Mikki Matthews; one sister, Joyce Hancock; one brother, Buddy Hancock. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, August 27th at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday and Friday morning until time for services at the funeral home.
