Bettie Lasley

Bettie Jean Lasley, age 82 of Leitchfield passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Kindred Hospital in Louisville. She was born November 25, 1931 in Leitchfield, the daughter of Bennie and Ruby Hultz Jewell and was the wife of James Milton Lasley for 66 years. She is survived by her husband of Leitchfield, one son, Kelly W. Lasley (Deborah)of Morengo, IN, one daughter, Debbie A. Williams of Leitchfield, two sisters, Shirley Stinnett of Leitchfield and Nancy Jessie (Ed) of Radcliff, KY, six grandchildren, Rebecca Helm, Steven Lasley, Crystal Williams, Angela Luckett, Kimberly Coplan, and Michael Duvall, and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Janet Lou Pearson, one brother James Jewell, and one sister, Joyce Short. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield with Bro. Billy Mason officiating. Burial will be in the Lyle Cemetery in Leitchfield. Visitation will be held after 9:00 a.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
