Betty Louvena Ford 76 of Freedom died Thursday, October 13, 2011 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Barren Co. she was the daughter of the late Basil Haley & Katie Roller Garvin and wife of the late O. H. Ford. Mrs. Ford was a member of the Eastern Star Etoile Chapter #522 and was retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation working at the Bon Ayr Toll Plaza. Survivors include 4 sons Michael Carl Ford (Julia) of Edmonton, Donnie Ford (Kathy) of Glasgow, Doug Ford (LaRissa) of Glasgow and John Marion Ford of Freedom, KY; 6 grandchildren Lisa Bartley (Brandin) of Glasgow, Jared Ford ( Amberly) of Bowling Green, Haley Bolyard (Don) of Missouri, Chelsea Ford of Edmonton, Harley Ford and Holly Ford both of Tompkinsville; a brother Don Haley (Barbara) of Illinois; 3 sisters Mary Lee Reid (Joe) of Glasgow, Kathleen Joyce Rupert of Glasgow and Judy Akers (Joe) of Alabama; 3 great grandchildren Grayson Bartley, Reese Kathryn Bartley and Ethan Joseph Bolyard; Sister-in-law Joann Haley and several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her step-father G. M. Garvin and a brother Hershel Tom Haley. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Sunday, October 16, 2011 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation will be after 4:00pm Saturday at the funeral home.
