Betty Simmons

Betty Carol Simmons, 68, of Flippin, KY, passed away on December 18, 2022, at Norton's Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was born in Tompkinsville, KY on December 15, 1954, to the late Fred G Smith and Iva Jean Wisdom Smith who survives. Betty was a hard worker and worked at several factories over her lifetime, to include J.L. French and Stitches in Gamaliel, KY. She has been a longtime member of Indian Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include two children, Roger Dale Simmons, Jr. (Tammy), and Jennifer Jill McCoy (Lela); grandchildren, Jessica Strode (Timmy), Brittany Webb (Tommy), Ashley Turner (Trever), and Tyler Baxter; great grandchildren, Ryan Strode, Rylee Simmons, James Strode, Liam Simmons, and Ellison Wheeler. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Dale Simmons; sisters, Lori and Joyce Smith; Maternal grandparents, Charlie & Birdie Wisdom; Paternal grandparents, Oscar & Lillie Smith. Funeral Service will be 11:00am Friday, December 23rd at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Turner Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00pm-8:00pm and on Friday morning until time for the service at the funeral home. A.F.
