Billy Marshall Bishop, 72, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, Kentucky. He was born in Barren County, Kentucky on June 7, 1949 to the late Marshall Brown Bishop and the late Geneva Taylor Bishop. Billy worked at Lyons Company for 38 years as a pipefitter, welder, and heavy equipment operator. Billy belonged to Browders Chapel Baptist Church since his youth. He had many passions; one of those was fostering children from Guatemala with medical needs. Billy and Tootie fostered and loved nineteen Guatemalan children. He was an avid horse lover and spent his spare time roping and riding. But most of all, he enjoyed his family and playing with his grandkids that he loved dearly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Bishop Gardner. Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Patricia Tootie Bishop; son, Joseph M. Bishop (Sabrina); daughter, Lindsey Bishop Nunn (Stuart); five grandchildren, Connor Bishop, Warran Bishop, both of Glasgow, Madie Nunn, Will Nunn, Hayden Nunn, all of Elizabethtown; brother, Danny Bishop (Teresa); brother-in-law, Woody Gardner; great niece, Serenity Button, all of Glasgow; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Operation Smile, Shriner's Hospital, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or your favorite charity. The funeral service for Mr. Bishop will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, May 5th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday morning until time for the service at the funeral home. A. F.
