Billy Staples

Billy J. Staples 73 of Glasgow died Thursday October 6, 2011 at the Barren County Health Care Facility. He was born in Barren County, son of the late Seddie and Eunice Ballard Staples. Mr. Staples was a heavy equipment operator for the T.V.A. and was a member of the Intl. Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union. A veteran, he served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Glasgow. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Margie Rowe Staples; 3 children Deborah Young (David) of Washington, NC, Joe Mark Staples (Marla) of Austin, KY and Billy Butler (Regina) of Lucas, KY. Seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren also survive. Funeral serivces will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 8th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM Friday.
