Blondell Nichols Tarry

Blondell Nichols Tarry, age 95, of Glasgow, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023, at NHC Health Care. She was born in Glasgow on November 12, 1927, to the late T.D. Nichols and the late Rosa Alice Nichols (Atnip). She was a seamstress at Handmacher then a machine operator at SKF where she retired. Blondell was a founding member of South Side Baptist Church. She was an avid UK basketball fan.

Blondell is survived by her son, William Robert (Bud) Tarry (Paula); daughter, Christine Tarry Key; grandchildren, Terri Key Webb (Steve), Barry Key (Stephanie), Chris Eaton (Sheila) and Miranda Tarry (Junior); great grandchildren, Maggie Ellen Webb, Mollie Kate Webb, Collin Key (Sherana), Kristin Poynter (Kevin), Brooke Barnes, Murphy Faller, Tanner Eaton, Madison Kilmon, and John David Kilmon, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Blondell was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, Robert Tarry; daughter, Roberta Bryant; brothers, Lee T. Nichols, Joe Frank Nichols, and Maxie Royce Nichols; sister, Dickie Nichols Monroe; and son in law, JB Key.

The funeral service for Mrs. Tarry will be held on 1:00PM, Thursday, November 16th, at A.F. Crow and Son Funeral Home with burial in the Bowles Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00AM on Thursday, until time for the service at the funeral home.
