Brenda Kay Bartley

Brenda Kay Bartley, 65, of Glasgow, Kentucky, went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at her residence. She was born on March 28, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Willis Shaw and Maxine Mosby Shaw. She was a retired teacher with the Glasgow Independent schools and enjoyed cashiering as a ministry at Walmart post-retirement. She was a longtime, faithful member at Coral Hill Baptist Church. At home, she delighted in her family, pets, hummingbirds, and gardening. All who knew Brenda have the lasting blessing of her captivating joy, hospitality, uniqueness, humor, and love endowed in her by her Creator.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 32 years, Chris Bartley; daughter, Moriah; brother, Randy (Tracy); four nephews, Bob (Katie), Caleb (Ruthie), Levi (Camden), and Jacob (Ellen); and her sisters-in-law, Mary Shaw and Benita Bartley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Rich and Barry Shaw.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Coral Hill Baptist Church.

The funeral services for Brenda will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Coral Hill Baptist Church with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, September 27, 2024, starting at 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Saturday at 8:00 AM until time for the service at the church.
