Brenda Kay Casteel

Brenda Kay Casteel, 66, of Glasgow, died Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. She was born in Glasgow, the daughter of the late James Landon "Jim" Byrd and Gertrude Burnett Byrd. Mrs. Casteel graduated from Park City High School in 1972 and was a member of the Poplar Log Church of Christ. She enjoyed ceramics and gardening especially tending to her rose bushes and loved her pet "Missy". She is survived by her husband, James Casteel; two children, Jamie Casteel (Dana) and Tracy Neal (Danny) both of Glasgow; 4 grandchildren, Colten Holman, Jonathan Casteel, Gabrielle Mesker (Nathaniel) and Kayla Hodge; 2 great-grandchildren, Kayslea and Austen Mesker; 2 sisters, Mary London (Butch) and Sheila Estes (Larry); several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Lynn Brown. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, October 14th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Poplar Log Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM Sunday.
