Brenda Kelley

Brenda Lee Kelley, 73, died Thursday, March 28, 2019 under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Elisabeth and Joseph C. Sills. Brenda was a graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School and Paragon Beauty School and retired as a manager of JC Penney Hair Salon. Brenda was a lifelong member of St. Stephen Cathedral and enjoyed volunteering as a minister of the Eucharist, Money Counter and assisting with funeral meals. She also enjoyed her family, watching her grandkids participate in sports, working on scrap books, attending bible study class, attending book club, and playing Canasta. Brenda is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles "Bill" Kelley Jr., two sons, Charles William Kelley, III, Stephen Joseph Kelley, daughter, Jennifer (Casey) Cundiff, grandchildren, Alexandra, Savannah, Trenton, Macey, Max, Carmen, Charlie, her sister, Peggy (Bill), her brother, Jim (Shelia), many extended family members and of course her beloved pet, Gracie. Services will be 12:00 pm Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at St. Stephen Cathedral, with Father Jerry Riney officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory, and again from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Wednesday at the church. Prayers will be 6:30 Tuesday at the funeral home.
