Brenda Louise Payne Pook, 82, Glasgow, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2023, at the home she shared with her daughter in Nicholasville. Brenda was born September 27, 1940, in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late Lottie Williams Payne and Carl Payne. Six months ago, her husband Richard, the love of her life, passed away. We know he was anxiously waiting for her at heaven's gate and finally they're reunited again. They were inseparable in their journey of life, and now together forever. The last six years of Richard and Brenda's lives were spent living with their daughter, Charlanne- dividing the time between their much-loved home in Glasgow and Charlanne's home in Nicholasville. The three were a very close-knit family and relished their precious time together. Brenda was a loving wife, mother, and friend to many. She was a well-known beautician for many years; she also helped the American Cancer Society start a Look Good, Feel Good program for female cancer patients in the area. Later, she and Richard started their second career in antiques- this was their passion. She was extremely knowledgeable, and many people sought her expertise. They had antique booths in multiple antique malls in Nashville and Glasgow. She and Richard also conducted many estate sales. She was a long-time member of the Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church and loyal member of P.E.O. Chapter Y. Brenda is survived by her loving daughter Charlanne Pook, sisters-in-law (Ann Payne, Dorothy Payne, Jessie Mattax), as well as other family members and many friends. She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Leroy, Dale, and Roger. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home in Glasgow with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 AM to 1 PM, followed by a short service at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators/Hospice, 1733 Harrodsburg Rd, Lexington, KY 40504 or Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 101 Cumberland St., Glasgow, KY 42141. A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mrs.Pook.
