Brenda Self

Brenda Turner Self, age 70, of Cave City, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024, at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. She was the daughter of the late Edmond Lee Turner and the late Doris Alene Kidd Turner. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 14, 1954. She was a 1973 graduate of Caverna High School and a 1975 graduate of Bowling Green Business College. She was a longtime employee of Caverna Memorial Hospital for 37 years, retiring in 2017. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Church of Christ in Park City.

Her survivors include her loving husband of 51 years, Larry Self; son, Eric Self (Crystal) of Smiths Grove, KY; daughter, Katrina Self and fiancé Daniel Williams of Hopkinsville, KY; two precious grandchildren, Merick Self and Amerie Self, both of Smiths Grove, KY; two sisters, Barbara Phillips (Randy) of Nashville, TN and Wanda Smith (Bobby) of Smyrna, TN; two brothers, Larry Turner (Bobbi) of Soddy Daisy, TN and Terry Turner (Diane) of Rockvale, TN; sister-in-law, Joyce Self, of Louisville, KY; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, October 4th at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, Glasgow, Kentucky with interment in the Cave City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and Friday, 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to the American Heart Association, Potter’s Children’s Home in Bowling Green, or to Mount Vernon Church of Christ.
