Brenda Joyce Stockton 58 of Glasgow died Monday December 10, 2012 in Glasgow. Born in Barren Co. she was the daughter of the late James Childress and Aline Sublett Curd. She was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church where she served on the Usher board and was a former member of the choir. Brenda worked as a LPN at T J Samson Hospital for 31 years as a nurse in pediatrics, ob, and dialysis. She was known as Aunt BB and was a loving mother, sister, and friend to everyone. Survivors include 2 sons Fred Stockton and Keith Stockton both of Glasgow; a daughter Asani J. Howard of Glasgow; 4 grandchildren Aaron Huffman, Joselyn Waffird, Jamari Stockton and Jordan Stockton all of Glasgow; 5 sisters Ramona Curd and Willie Bush of Glasgow, Ann Allen of Bowling Green, Juanita Bridges of Louisville and Cheryl Nettles of Whitesville, TN; 7 brothers Tony Curd of Bowling Green, Dickie Curd of Chicago, IL, Fred Curd of Shepardsville, KY, Jimmy Martin of Louisiana, Leroy Martin of Louisville, Timmy Martin of Louisville and Ronnie Martin of Glasgow;2 Aunts, CArolyn Arnold and Christine Sublett of Glasgow; 1 uncle, Gene A. Sublett of Louisville; a special friend James 'Happy' Neal of Glasgow; a special cousin Linda Kay Buckner of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson Avion Jermaine Stockton; 2 brothers, Alvin Curd, Jr. and Jonathon Wayne Curd. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Hopewell Baptist Church with burial in the Barlow Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00pm Wednesday at the Hopewell Baptist Church. A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
