Brenda Ann Thompson, 66, of Glasgow, Kentucky, born in Lancaster, Ohio on December 2, 1958, walked through the gates of Heaven on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Tri-Star Centennial hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Brenda graduated from Millersport High School in 1977 and attended Ohio State University. She moved to Summer Shade in 1985 before coming to her final home on Leslie Avenue in Glasgow, KY in 1990.
Brenda was a beacon of light in the community for so many people. She dedicated her life to her children and family and opened the doors of her home with welcoming arms to all who were in need. While she was the mother of the Thompson children, she was “mom” to many others, helping to raise, shape and mold all who were blessed enough to know her.
Brenda had a servants heart, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Whether it be through the numerous organizations she was actively involved with or just helping a fellow human that she saw needed a little extra support, Brenda was there with arms wide open.
And while she deeply loved her children, her faith was the most importantly aspect of her life. Brenda religiously attended River Lake Church where she proclaimed her faith through baptism on November 20, 2016. Through her own walk with God, she took every opportunity to lead and guide others to the Lord.
Brenda was born to and proceeded in death by Henry Hubert Hall and Joann Harris Hall as well as her brother, Bart Hall.
Brenda is survived by her beloved sons Martin Dale (Rachel), Drew (Becky), Darren (Micah), Derek (Mercedez), cherished daughter DeAnndra (Kermis) and step-son Dustin (Leslie). She is also survived by her precious grandchildren: Aidan, Madison, Etta, Jackson, Caleb, Price, Lane, Cassady, Gavin, Blayklee, Maverick, Grace, Melah and Joy and step-grandchildren Bryce and Sydney. Holding a special place in her heart and in our lives is her best friend, Becky England. Brenda was also survived by her sister Beanetta Buchanan (Gary) and several nieces and nephews.
To all, she was Brenda or friend but to her family and those closest to her, she will always be our precious BB.
Brenda will be cremated, per her wishes and will have a private ceremony with her family under the direction of A. F. Crow and Son Funeral Home. The family invites you to join them in a Celebration of Life Open House on March 1, 2025, 12:00-6:00pm at the Ole French Restaurant, 255 Perkins Road, with food catered by Hidden Hickory.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to any charity of your choice.
