Carl James Fox, Jr., 90, of Sebring, FL and formerly of Glasgow, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center. He was born October 11, 1924 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Carl was known as a man you could always count on. He was a hard-working, brave man who served our country in both World War II and the Korean War. He married the 'boss' Ruth Smith and their love produced three children, Pamela, Carl James III and Debbie. After Ruth's death he married Hilde and they enjoyed 5 years together until she passed. Carl was preceded in death by wives Ruth Fox and Hilde Fox; daughters Pamela Fox Staples and Debbie Fox, and great-great granddaughter Addison King. Survivors include son Jim Fox III, grandchildren Chrisn Fox King, Sarah Fox Madden, Carl Fox IV, Andrew Fox, Georgia Fox, Jackson Fox, Tommy Staples, and Mikki Staples Owens, along with 9 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Joe Fox and sister Barbara Fox Smith. Carl built many structures throughout his years in the construction trade but his most important accomplishment will remain the family and relationships he built throughout the years. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens in Glasgow. Military honors will be provided by D.A.V. Chapter 20 of Glasgow. A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is assisting the family with local arrangements.
