Carolyn Morris

Carolyn Sue Bowman Morris, age 67 of Leitchfield, passed away Friday, August 1, 2014 at her residence. She was born July 12, 1947, in New Albany, IN, the daughter of the late Robert H. and M. Dorothy 'Dottie' Totten Bowman. The family moved to Cloverport, KY, she married Eddie Franklin 'Frankie' Morris in 1965. The couple lived in Breckinridge County for more than 40 years before moving to Leitchfield in 2006. A lifelong lover of reading, she served on the Breckinridge County Public Library board for several years. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Morris of Leitchfield, a brother, Bruce (Judy) Bowman of South Carolina, two nephews and a niece, her stepmother, Sharon Bowman of Tennessee, and special family friends, Mary Lou and Robert DeJarnette of Cloverport. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a brother, Barry. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Watson & Hunt Funeral Directors in Leitchfield is in charge of arrangements. Expressions of sympathy can take the form of donations to either the Breckinridge or Grayson County Public Libraries or Hospice and Palliative Care of Central Kentucky.
