Carrol Isbell, 79, of Owensboro passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Owensboro Center. He was born in Daviess County on August 17, 1939 to Estle James and Veva Hancock Isbell. He was a member of Wing Avenue Baptist Church. He enjoyed singing, playing games and especially enjoyed his family and friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patty Fugate Isbell, his brothers, N. Kenneth Isbell, James C. Isbell, Estle S. Isbell, and his sister, Doris Jean Kirk. Carrol is survived by his sister, Joyce (Dale) Winchester of Highland, Indiana, his sister-in-law Nina Isbell of Smyrna, Tennessee, his nieces, Jane Carol Taghizadeh, Mary Margaret Johnson, Jennifer Winchester, his nephews, Reverend David, James L., Daniel, John, Ricky Isbell, Dale Winchester, II, numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and one great-great niece. Services will be noon Friday, May 24, 2019 at Wing Avenue Baptist Church, with Reverend David Isbell officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service Friday at the church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation; 3 Columbus Circle 15 Floor; New York, New York 10019. Envelopes will be available at the church.
