Carroll Staples

Carroll Jones Staples 92 of Glasgow died Thursday at the Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. He was born in Barren County the son of the late Oscar and Ella Mae Parker Staples. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII where he participated in the Normandy invasion and was a member of the Glasgow VFW. Survivors include a cousin, Melissa Spencer of Hardyville and several friends. A graveside service under the direction of the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home will be held 2:00pm Sunday at the Defever Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 10:00am until 1:30pm at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
