Cecil Beatty, age 84, of Leitchfield, KY passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012 at the Ohio County Hospital in Hartford, KY. He was born on July 15, 1927 in Caneyville, KY, the son of Shady and Anna Pruitt Beatty. He was a sawmill operator. He was a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by one sister, Aline Snyder of Leitchfield and several nieces and nephews. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Irene Pettrey and four brothers, Roy, Stanley, Raymond and Russell Beatty. Funeral services will be at 12:00 Noon Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the Dermitt Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro. William Dodson will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery.Friends may call at the Dermitt Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of service.
