Cecil Bowman

Cecil Morris Bowman 86 of Glasgow died Saturday, September 15, 2007 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born October 3, 1920 in Monroe County he was the son of the late Abednego and Malitia Arterburn Bowman. Mr. Bowman was a member of the Mt. Gilead Church of Christ, a life-long Farmer and a former member of the local Farmers Market from 1983 until 2003. Survivors include his wife of 64 years Nelda Mae Allen Bowman; a son Morris Allen Bowman of Bowling Green; a daughter Wanda Bowman Houchens (Greg) of Glasgow; 3 grandchildren Benjamin Allen Bowman of Bowling Green, Alex Houchens and Hannah Houchens both of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 3 brothers William Clifford Bowman, John Herman Bowman and Howard Newton Bowman and 2 sisters Emily C. Thompson and Mary Evelyn Lewis. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00pm Monday at the funeral home.
