Cecil Williams

Cecil D. Williams 87 of Glasgow died Monday May 11, 2009 at his home. He was born in Burkesville, KY the son of the late Stanley and Rosie McFarland Williams and husband of the late Lille Mae Gunnels Williams. Mr. Willliams was a Farmer and a veteran of WWII serving in the European Theater. In addition to his farming, he enjoyed gardening, woodworking and hunting. He is survived by a daughter Jessie Mae Gass and husband Steve of Glasgow; a granddaughter Jennifer Gass and her dog Charlie of Atlantic Beach, FL; a brother Stanley Earl Williams of Templie Hill; 2 sisters Letha Jane Godsea of Jeffersonville, IN and Nellie Broady of Scottsburg, IN and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by 2 brothers Lester and Russell Williams and 2 sisters Ruby Glackman and Dora Wiley. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Thursday May 14, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:30pm on Wednesday.
