Charles Overby

Charles Nelson Overby, Jr, age 62 of Leitchfield passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at his residence. He was born February 25, 1954 in Verdun, France the son of the late Charles Nelson Overby, Sr. and Oma Wood Overby. He is survived by his wife, Diana Cook Overby of Leitchfield, one daughter, Lisa Meredith (Tommie) of Leitchfield, one son, Brian Overby (Cindy) of Leitchfield, one half-brother, Doyle Sanders of Oklahoma, two sisters, Patricia Sims (Ricky) and Sherron Overby both of Leitchfield, five grandchildren all of Leitchfield, Kevin Overby, Logan Overby, Charie Meredith, Katelynn Overby and Brayden Meredith, one niece, Jennifer Webb, and two nephews, Carl and Eric Sims. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a half-brother, Ronnie Sanders, one sister, Pamela Jean Overby, and two nephews, Jason Embry and Ricky Sims, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m.(noon), Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield with Bro. Murrell Meredith officiating. Burial will be in the Eveleigh Cemetery in Leitchfield. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
