Charles Gordon Pitcock of Glasgow died Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at his home. He was married to Betty Ann Forbis and they would have been married 54 years this November 30, 2010. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. Prior to his illness he and Betty attended Coral Hill Baptist Church. Gordon had been an employee for Span Tech, Interior Design, and T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He has always been a hard worker with his farming and carpentry. Gordon is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Forbis; three children Debbie Casteel and husband Danny of Glasgow; David Pitcock and wife Jo of Cave City and Chris Pitcock and wife Amanda of Glasgow. He is also survived by his grandchildren and step-grandchildren who affectionately called him 'Pods', Chad Casteel, Craig Casteel, Ashley Lane; Kari Jo Pitcock, Jenny Honeycutt, Melissa Pitcock, Doug Bartell, Shelby Emmit, Shayla Kingrey, and Payton Pitcock; 10 great-grand children; one brother, Wade Pitcock and wife Prudence of Rome, Georgia; 3 Sisters, LaVinia Jessie and husband Samuel of Temple Hill, Faye Baumgardner of Fort Walton, Florida and Linda Dankhoff of Glasgow; one sister-in-law Alma Akin, a nephew Burch Akin and wife Donna all of Bradenton, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents George Fisher Pitcock and Laura Wood Ferguson and one brother George Jr. Pitcock Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday September 25, 2010 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon on Friday at the funeral home.
