Charles Rogers

Charles E. Rogers 78 of Springhill, TN died Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at his residence in Springhill, TN. Born in Barren County he was the son of the late Raymond and Wilma Lloyd Rogers. He was a construction worker having worked for James Norris Gray Construction and Ernest Simpson Construction and was a U.S. Army Veteran. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Arlene Blakeway Rogers of Springhill, TN; 2 daughters, Susan Gates of Mebane, NC and Gena Rogers of Springhill, TN; 2 grandchildren, Jennifer Roberts and Kristi Hiott of North Carolina; 4 great grandchildren; 1 grand dog Maki; 2 sisters, Margie Lyons (husband Bill), and Martha Phipps (husband Butch) both of Glasgow; 5 nephews and nieces and a brother-in-law, Fred Skipworth of TN. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Skipworth and a nephew Freddie Dale Skipworth, Jr. A memorial service will he held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Nazarene Church on Lexington Drive. Visitation will be at the church Saturday from noon until time for the service. A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is assisting the family.
