Charles Smith

Charles William 'Billy' Smith 65 of Park City, KY died Thursday, September 6, 2007 at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, KY. Born in Barren Co. he was the son of the late Herman Taylor Smith & Katie Maude Sater Smith. Mr. Smith was of the Baptist Faith, a graduate of Glasgow High School, a veteran of the U. S. Army, a member of the D.A.V. Chapter #20 of Glasgow and retired from the United States Postal Service in Bowling Green, KY. Survivors include his wife Carrie Jane Burton Smith of Park City, KY; a daughter Kimberly Hickman (John) of Indianapolis, IN; a step-daughter Kathy Jo Jackson at home; a step-son Thomas M. Jackson (Victoria) of Park City, KY; 2 grandsons Shane & Troy of Indianapolis, IN; 3 sisters Barbara Wheeler, Martha Blakley (Arnold) and Maryline Strahley all of Glasgow; a sister-in-law Ruth Smith of Glasgow and several nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother James Lee Smith. Funeral services will be 4:00pm Sunday, September 7, 2007 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Lick Branch Cemetery with Military Honors provided by D.A.V. Chapter #20 of Glasgow. Visitation will be after 2:00pm Saturday at the funeral home.
