Charles Young

Charles Raymond Young, 62, of Hardinsburg, passed away Monday, October 2nd, 2017 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville. He was born on Tuesday, April 19th, 1955 in Yeaman, the son of the late Cecil Richard and Ida Marie (Foreman) Young. Charles worked in timber and loved to work on small engines. He also enjoyed to deer hunt, fish and play the guitar. Charles is survived by his wife of 27 years, Betty Jo Lindsey; their son, CJ Young and his fianc, Heather Norton of Hardinsburg; his twin brother, Damon Young (Dawn) of Yeaman and his brother, Carl Young of Grayson County; two sisters, Carol Foreman (RL) of Yeaman and Shirley Duncan (Billy) of Horse Branch, his Aunt Mandy and several good friends. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by six brothers, Harold, William, Gary, Gene, James and JC Young; one sister, Bessie Decker and an infant sister. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 4th, 2017 at 3:00 pm at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Bobby Renfrow will be officiating. Burial will be in the Yeaman Cemetery. Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Wednesday after 11:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Charles Young Memorial Fund.
