Charles Young

Charles Edward Young age 77 of Glasgow, died Thursday May 15, 2008 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Charlie was born in Shelby County, May 28th 1930 to Van L. Young and Fannie Dean Peak Young, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War and a retired employee of R. R. Donnelley. He was a member of Landmark U.P.C. Charlie is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley Ann Jones Young; four daughters, Becky Key (Herman), Nancy Wilson, Jackie Jones (James) and Lila Walker. Other survivors include two brothers and sisters, Bill Young (Jane), Keith Young (Dorthea), Hellen Jones (Don) and Margie Brooks; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday May 18, 2008 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 6:00pm Saturday.
