Charlie Mcdonald

Charlie Hampton McDonald 94 of Etoile went to his Heavenly Father on October 26, 2008 at his residence. He was born August 15, 1914 the son of Sam & Zula McDonald. Mr. McDonald was a devoted member of the Caney Fork Missionary Baptist Church where he served as Treasurer for 22 years and a Deacon for 16 years. He was also a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Army. Survivors include his wife of 67 years Virginia Ruth Payne McDonald of Etoile; a son Billy McDonald (Jan) of Glasgow; 2 daughters Glenda Proctor (Johnny) of Smiths Grove, KY and Karen Carter (Larry) of Park City, KY; 4 grandchildren Dennis Martin (Emily) of Lexington, Vickie Martin of Park City, Shawn McDonald of Temple Hill and Nikki Richardson (Jon) of Glasgow; 3 step grandchildren Brian Proctor (Kim) of Bowling Green, KY, Tinisha Napier (Jeremy) of Austin, KY and Daniel Bragg ( Bobbie Jo) of Austin, KY; 4 great grandchildren Andy and Brooklyn Richardson of Glasgow, Gelynn Martin of Smiths Grove, KY and Devan McDonald of Temple Hill, KY; 6 step great grandchildren Connor Proctor, Macy Proctor and Makayla Miller all of Bowling Green, KY, Sierra Napier, Autumn and Dylan Bragg all of Austin, KY; several nieces, nephews and friends also survive. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 3 brothers Ted, Bill and Turner McDonald, 3 sisters Ocia Smith, Cecil Turner and Isabelle Marr and a granddaughter Penny Martin. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at the Caney Fork Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the Caney Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3:00pm Tuesday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home and Wednesday from 8:00am until 11:00am at the funeral home and from 12:00pm until time for the services at the Caney Fork Missionary Baptist Church. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of Memorial Contribution to the T. J. Samson Community Hospital Hospice @ 1301 N. Race St. Glasgow, KY 42141.
