In loving memory of Cheryl Lynn Norris, a remarkable soul whose warmth, kindness, and enduring love touched the hearts of all fortunate enough to know her.

Cheryl Lynn Norris, 68, a longtime resident of Mt. Washington, Kentucky and later Edmonton, Kentucky passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, January 5, 2024 at home surrounded by her family.

Cheryl was raised in Bullitt County, Kentucky and was a member of First Baptist Church in Mt. Washington for 56 years. She is the daughter of Harold F. Williamson and Gracie I. Williamson, with whom she has joyfully reunited with in Heaven.

Cheryl’s daughter, Allison and her husband Ernie were the center of her universe until she became a “Mammam” in 2004. At that time, Allison and Ernie had to learn to share the spotlight. She loved us deeply and completely, leaving no doubt in our hearts about the warmth of her affection. She was also unwaveringly loyal to her Kentucky Wildcats! Most importantly, her heart was wholly devoted to Jesus. Her daily routine included sharing scriptures with friends and her online community, a testament to her fervent desire for those she loved to experience the profound peace found only in embracing Jesus.

Her legacy is etched in the unwavering love she bestowed upon us, and in her final weeks, she exemplified a strength that went beyond words. She taught us the true meaning of courage and perseverance.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Ernest Norris; her daughter, Allison Stump (Jamie); her five grandchildren who she loved beyond measure, Gracelyn, Evelyn, Segn, Elliot, and Matiyas Stump; One brother, Mike Williamson (Dawn); and nieces Kelsey Castanon (Luis), Taylor Williamson, and Bailey Williamson; Two great nieces, Lainey and Landrie Castanon.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks if donations be made to St. Jude Hospital in Cheryl’s honor.

The funeral service for Mrs. Norris will be held at 1:00 PM CST, Monday, January 8th at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM CST, Monday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
