Chester Belcher

Chester Acton Belcher 78 of Glasgow died Monday May 19th at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Mr. Belcher was born in Barren County December 2, 1929 the son of the late Leo and Lee Ann Kinslow Belcher. He was also preceded in death by his wife Julia Charmaine Gabehart Belcher. He was a life long farmer and was retired from SKF in Glasgow. Mr. Belcher was a Baptist and formally attended the Siloam Baptist Church. He is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Anderson and husband William, and Cheryl Stephens and husband Gary all of Glasgow; two granddaughters Renee Basil of Glasgow and Sarah Jackson of Eagle River, Alaska; four great-grandchildren; a sister Helen Tinsley of Glasgow and a special friend Frances Groce. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Wednesday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
